Synopsis

The remote Red Hat 7 host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities that will not be patched.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

 - gcc: integer overflow flaws in libgfortran (CVE-2014-5044)

 - The std::random_device class in libstdc++ in the GNU Compiler Collection (aka GCC) before 4.9.4 does not properly handle short reads from blocking sources, which makes it easier for context-dependent attackers to predict the random values via unspecified vectors. (CVE-2015-5276)

 - Integer overflow in the string_appends function in cplus-dem.c in libiberty allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted executable, which triggers a buffer overflow. (CVE-2016-2226)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.
