Synopsis

The remote Red Hat 6 host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities that will not be patched.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

- qpid-cpp: anonymous access to qpidd cannot be prevented (CVE-2015-0223)

- qpid-cpp: AMQP 0-10 protocol sequence-set maximal range DoS (incomplete CVE-2015-0203 fix) (CVE-2015-0224)

- The qpidd broker in Apache Qpid 0.30 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) via an AMQP message with (1) an invalid range in a sequence set, (2) content- bearing methods other than message-transfer, or (3) a session-gap control before a corresponding session- attach. (CVE-2015-0203)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.

Solution

The vendor has acknowledged the vulnerabilities but no solution has been provided. Refer to the vendor for remediation guidance.
