Synopsis

The remote Red Hat 8 host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities that will not be patched.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

 - openssl: 0-byte record padding oracle (CVE-2019-1559)

 - openssl: timing attack in RSA Decryption implementation (CVE-2022-4304)

 - The OpenSSL DSA signature algorithm has been shown to be vulnerable to a timing side channel attack. An attacker could use variations in the signing algorithm to recover the private key. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1a (Affected 1.1.1). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.0j (Affected 1.1.0-1.1.0i). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2q (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2p). (CVE-2018-0734)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.
