Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

- nasm: heap-based buffer over-read in do_directive in asm/preproc.c (CVE-2018-19215)

- nasm: Buffer over-read in parse_line function in asm/parser.c (CVE-2018-8883)

- In Netwide Assembler (NASM) 2.14rc0, preproc.c allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap- based buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted file.
