Synopsis

The remote Red Hat 3 host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities that will not be patched.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

- openssl: SGC restart DoS attack (CVE-2011-4619)

- openssl: CMS and PKCS#7 Bleichenbacher attack (CVE-2012-0884)

- OpenSSL before 0.9.8j, when SSL_OP_NETSCAPE_REUSE_CIPHER_CHANGE_BUG is enabled, does not prevent modification of the ciphersuite in the session cache, which allows remote attackers to force the use of a disabled cipher via vectors involving sniffing network traffic to discover a session identifier, a different vulnerability than CVE-2010-4180. (CVE-2008-7270)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.
