Synopsis

The remote Red Hat 5 host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities that will not be patched.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

 - OpenJDK: improper re-use of NTLM authenticated connections (Networking, 8163520) (CVE-2017-3509)

 - OpenJDK: newline injection in the SMTP client (Networking, 8171533) (CVE-2017-3544)

 - Oracle Java SE before 7 Update 6, and OpenJDK 7 before 7u6 build 12 and 8 before build 39, computes hash values without restricting the ability to trigger hash collisions predictably, which allows context- dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via crafted input to an application that maintains a hash table. (CVE-2012-2739)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.
