1.1.28 (L1) Ensure 'Disable Firefox Accounts' is set to 'Enabled'

Information

This policy setting controls whether a user can sign into Firefox with an account to use services.

The recommended state for this setting is: Enabled

Syncing user data, especially from a personal account, can contain information that is not appropriate for an enterprise environment.

Solution

To establish the recommended configuration via GP, set the following UI path to Enabled :

Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Mozilla\Firefox\Disable Firefox Accounts

Note: This Group Policy path does not exist by default. An additional Group Policy template ( firefox.admx/adml ) is required - it is available to download at this

Impact:

Users will not be able to sign into the Firefox browser.
