Information
This policy setting determines whether Firefox will provide geographic location information to websites.
The recommended state for this setting is: Enabled
Geo-location services can expose private information to remote websites.
Solution
To establish the recommended configuration via GP, set the following UI path to Enabled :
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Mozilla\Firefox\Permissions\Location\Block new requests asking to access location
Note: This Group Policy path does not exist by default. An additional Group Policy template ( firefox.admx/adml ) is required - it is available to download at this
link
.
Impact:
Geo-locations services will be unavailable. Sites that use geo-location (Google Maps tec.) will not be able to attain information to pinpoint location.
