1.1.24 (L1) Ensure 'Application Autoupdate' is set to 'Enabled'

Information

This policy setting configures whether Firefox automatically downloads and installs updates, as they are made available.

The recommended state for this setting is: Enabled

Security updates ensure that users are safe from known software bugs and vulnerabilities.

Solution

To establish the recommended configuration via GP, set the following UI path to Enabled :

Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Mozilla\Firefox\Application Autoupdate

Note: This Group Policy path does not exist by default. An additional Group Policy template ( firefox.admx/adml ) is required - it is available to download at this

None - this is the default behavior.
