Enabling the 'Configuration Archive Enabled' option will create backups of the configuration during server boot. Having a backup of the configuration is essential to having a working system in the event that a configuration file gets corrupted.

If this option is not enabled and a configuration file is corrupted, the Oracle WebLogic Server will be unable to function.

Solution

1. Login to the Administration Console.
2. In the Change Center, click Lock & Edit.
3. In the left pane, select the Domain name.
4. Select Configuration > General and click Advanced at the bottom of the page.
5. Check the 'Configuration Archive Enabled' checkbox.
6. If necessary, click Save.
7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate-Changes.
