WebKit before r53525, as used in Google Chrome before 4.0.249.89, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the Chrome sandbox via a malformed RUBY element, as demonstrated by a <ruby>><table><rt> sequence.

Multiple cross-site scripting, denial of service and arbitrary code execution security flaws were discovered in webkit.

The updated packages have been upgraded to the latest version (1.2.7) to correct these issues.

A large number of security issues were discovered in the WebKit browser and JavaScript engines. If a user were tricked into viewing a malicious website, a remote attacker could exploit a variety of issues related to web browser security, including cross-site scripting attacks, denial of service attacks, and arbitrary code execution.
