DCTStream.cc in Poppler before 0.13.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted PDF file.

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

  - poppler: heap-based buffer over-read in function downsample_row_box_filter in CairoRescaleBox.cc     (CVE-2019-9631)

  - DCTStream.cc in Poppler before 0.13.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a     crafted PDF file. (CVE-2010-5110)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.

  - The error function in Error.cc in poppler before 0.21.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary     commands via a PDF containing an escape sequence for a terminal emulator. (CVE-2012-2142)

It was discovered that poppler did return program execution to the libjpeg library under error conditions, which is not expected by the library and results in application crash and possibly code execution.
