The scipy.weave component in SciPy before 0.12.1 creates insecure temporary directories.

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability that has been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

It was discovered that python-scipy did not correctly handle temporary directories, which may allow arbitrary code execution.
