The RuntimeEventRouter::OnExtensionUninstalled function in extensions/browser/api/runtime/runtime_api.cc in Google Chrome before 45.0.2454.85 does not ensure that the setUninstallURL preference corresponds to the URL of a web site, which allows user-assisted remote attackers to trigger access to an arbitrary URL via a crafted extension that is uninstalled.

The remote host is affected by the vulnerability described in GLSA-201603-09 (Chromium: Multiple vulnerabilities)

Updated chromium-browser packages that fix multiple security issues are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Supplementary.

Chromium is an open source web browser, powered by WebKit (Blink).

Several flaws were found in the processing of malformed web content. A web page containing malicious content could cause Chromium to crash or, potentially, execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running Chromium.
