Stack-based buffer overflow in the isofs_real_readdir function in isofs.c in FuseISO 20070708 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a long pathname in an ISO file.

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

  - fuseiso: Stack-based buffer overflow when scanning directory structure for absolute path entries     (CVE-2015-8837)

  - Integer overflow in the isofs_real_read_zf function in isofs.c in FuseISO 20070708 might allow remote     attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a     large ZF block size in an ISO file, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. (CVE-2015-8836)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.

According to the versions of the fuseiso package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

  - Integer overflow in the isofs_real_read_zf function in isofs.c in FuseISO 20070708 might allow remote     attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a     large ZF block size in an ISO file, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. It was discovered that fuseiso, a user-space implementation of the ISO 9660 file system based on FUSE, contains several vulnerabilities.

  - CVE-2015-8836     A stack-based buffer overflow may allow attackers who     can trick a user into mounting a crafted ISO 9660 file     system to cause a denial of service (crash), or,     potentially, execute arbitrary code.

  - CVE-2015-8837     An integer overflow leads to a heap-based buffer     overflow, which allows an attacker (who can trick a user     into mounting a crafted ISO 9660 file system) to cause a     denial of service (crash), or, potentially, execute     arbitrary code.
