The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 48.0.2564.116. It is, therefore, affected by an unspecified flaw related to the Blink rendering engine. An attacker can exploit this to bypass same-origin policy restrictions and escape the sandbox, allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

The remote Ubuntu 14.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-2905-1 advisory.

Chromium is an open source web browser, powered by WebKit (Blink).

Two flaws were found in the processing of malformed web content. A web page containing malicious content could cause Chromium to crash, execute arbitrary code, or disclose sensitive information when visited by the victim. (CVE-2016-1629)

All Chromium users should upgrade to these updated packages, which contain Chromium version 48.0.2564.116, which corrects these issues.
After installing the update, Chromium must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
