WritePNMImage in coders/pnm.c in GraphicsMagick 1.3.26 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (bit_stream.c MagickBitStreamMSBWrite heap-based buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted file.

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-4248-1 advisory.

Various security issues were discovered in Graphicsmagick, a collection of image processing tools. Heap-based buffer overflows or overreads may lead to a denial of service or disclosure of in-memory information or other unspecified impact by processing a malformed image file.

For Debian 8 'Jessie', these problems have been fixed in version 1.3.20-3+deb8u3.
