An Out-of-bounds Read issue was discovered in Adobe Flash Player before 28.0.0.137. This vulnerability occurs because of computation that reads data that is past the end of the target buffer. The use of an invalid (out-of-range) pointer offset during access of internal data structure fields causes the vulnerability. A successful attack can lead to sensitive data exposure.

Versions of Adobe Flash Player prior to 28.0.0.137 are unpatched, and therefore affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability.

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2018:0081 advisory.

    The flash-plugin package contains a Mozilla Firefox compatible Adobe Flash Player web browser plug-in.

    This update upgrades Flash Player to version 28.0.0.137.

    * This update fixes multiple vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player. These vulnerabilities, detailed in the     Adobe Security Bulletins listed in the References section, could allow an attacker to create a specially     crafted SWF file that would cause flash-plugin to disclose sensitive information or modify its settings     when the victim loaded a page containing the malicious SWF content.
