The CachingResourceDownloadRewriteRule class in Jira Server and Jira Data Center before version 8.5.11, from 8.6.0 before 8.13.3, and from 8.14.0 before 8.15.0 allowed unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary files within WEB-INF and META-INF directories via an incorrect path access check.

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian Jira hosted on the remote web server is prior to 8.5.11, 8.6.x < 8.13.3 or 8.14.x < 8.15.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - An information disclosure vulnerability in the /rest/api/1.0/issues/{id}/ActionsAndOperations API endpoint allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to download temporary files and enumerate project keys. (CVE-2021-26069)

 - An incorrect path access check allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary files within WEB-INF and META-INF directories. (CVE-2020-29453)

 - A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the ViewWorkflowSchemes.jspa and ListWorkflows.jspa endpoints. (CVE-2020-36236)

 - A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Screens Modal view. (CVE-2020-36234)

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian Jira hosted on the remote web server is   prior to 8.5.11, 8.13.3, or 8.15.0. It is, therefore, affected by limited arbitrary file read vulnerability   related to the 'CachingResourceDownloadReadwriteRule' class due to an improper path access check. An   unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to read arbitrary files within the WEB-INF and META-INF directories.
    Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version   number.
