high Nessus Plugin ID 106407

Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security update.

Description

OpenSSH was found to be vulnerable to out of order NEWKEYS messages which could crash the daemon, resulting in a denial of service attack.

For Debian 7 'Wheezy', these problems have been fixed in version 1:6.0p1-4+deb7u7.

We recommend that you upgrade your openssh packages.

NOTE: Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the DLA security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
