Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for libvorbis.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:1058 advisory.

- Mozilla: Vorbis audio processing out of bounds write (MFSA 2018-08) (CVE-2018-5146)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL libvorbis package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:1058.
