Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for corosync.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:1169 advisory.

- corosync: Integer overflow in exec/totemcrypto.c:authenticate_nss_2_3() function (CVE-2018-1084)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL corosync package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:1169.
