Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in the image loading library for Simple DirectMedia Layer 1.2, which could result in denial of service or the execution of arbitrary code if malformed image files are opened.

Solution

Upgrade the sdl-image1.2 packages.

For the oldstable distribution (jessie), these problems have been fixed in version 1.2.12-5+deb8u1.

For the stable distribution (stretch), these problems have been fixed in version 1.2.12-5+deb9u1.
