Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for plexus-archiver.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:1836 advisory.

- plexus-archiver: arbitrary file write vulnerability / arbitrary code execution using a specially crafted zip file (CVE-2018-1002200)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL plexus-archiver package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:1836.
