Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for nss.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:2768 advisory.

- nss: ServerHello.random is all zeros when handling a v2-compatible ClientHello (CVE-2018-12384)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL nss package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:2768.
