Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for systemd.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:0201 advisory.

 - systemd: memory leak in journald-server.c introduced by fix for CVE-2018-16864 (CVE-2019-3815)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL systemd package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:0201.
