Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the PyYAML package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

- In PyYAML before 4.1, the yaml.load() API could execute arbitrary code. In other words, yaml.safe_load is not used.(CVE-2017-18342)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected PyYAML package.
