Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 14.04 LTS / 16.04 LTS / 18.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-3866-3 advisory.

 USN-3866-2 fixed a regression in Ghostscript. The Ghostscript update introduced a new regression that resulted in certain pages being printed with a blue background. This update fixes the problem.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
