Synopsis
The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related patches.Description
It was discovered that libsolv incorrectly handled certain malformed input. If a user or automated system were tricked into opening a specially crafted file, applications that rely on libsolv could be made to crash, resulting in a denial of service.Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
Solution
Update the affected libsolv-tools, libsolv0 and / or libsolvext0 packages.See Also
