Synopsis

The Adobe Dreamweaver instance installed on the remote host is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe Dreamweaver installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 2018.0, 2019.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the APSB19-40 advisory.

- Adobe Dreamweaver direct download installer versions 19.0 and below, 18.0 and below have an Insecure Library Loading (DLL hijacking) vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to Privilege Escalation in the context of the current user. (CVE-2019-7956)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Dreamweaver version 2018.0, 2019.0 or later.
