Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 LTS / 18.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4057-1 advisory.

Mike Salvatore discovered that Zipios mishandled certain malformed ZIP files. An attacker could use this vulnerability to cause a denial of service or consume system resources. (CVE-2019-13453)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libzipios++-dev and / or libzipios++0v5 packages.
