The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 5.04, has curl packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A buffer overrun flaw was found in the IMAP handler of libcurl. By tricking an unsuspecting user into connecting to a malicious IMAP server, an attacker could exploit this flaw to potentially cause information disclosure or crash the application. (CVE-2017-1000257)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL curl packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
