Synopsis

The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 5.04, has mailman packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw was found in mailman.
An attacker, able to trick the user into visiting a specific URL, can execute arbitrary web scripts on the user's side and force the victim to perform unintended actions. (CVE-2018-5950)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL mailman packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
