Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.04 / MAIN 5.04, has libXcursor packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- _XcursorThemeInherits in library.c in libXcursor before 1.1.15 allows remote attackers to cause denial of service or potentially code execution via a one-byte heap overflow. (CVE-2015-9262)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL libXcursor packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
