Synopsis

Tenable Nessus running on the remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the Tenable Nessus application running on the remote host is prior or equal to 8.5.2. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability due to a flaw where certain files could be overwritten arbitrarily. An authenticated, remote attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability to create a denial of service condition.

Solution

Upgrade to Tenable Nessus version 8.6.0 or later.
