Synopsis

The remote web server hosts a web application that is potentially affected by an authorisation bypass vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian JIRA hosted on the remote web server is prior to 7.12.3. It is, therefore, affected by an authentication bypass vulnerability in its inline-create REST component. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by sending crafted HTTP requests, to bypass authentication and set the reporter on Jira issues.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian JIRA version 7.12.3, 7.13.0 or 8.0.0
