Synopsis

The remote Samba server is potentially affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Samba running on the remote host is 4.x prior to 4.9.15, or 4.10.x prior to 4.10.10. It is, therefore, affected by a AD DC LDAP server denial of service vulnerability. An authenticated attacker with 'get changes' permissions could use this flaw to crash the AD DC LDAP server via the 'dirsync' LDAP control.

Solution

Upgrade to Samba version 4.9.15 / 4.10.10 or later.
