high Nessus Plugin ID 131406

Synopsis

The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version CORE 5.04 / MAIN 5.04, has jss packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A flaw was found in the Leaf and Chain OCSP policy implementation in JSS' CryptoManager versions after 4.4.6, 4.5.3, 4.6.0, where it implicitly trusted the root certificate of a certificate chain. Applications using this policy may not properly verify the chain and could be vulnerable to attacks such as Man in the Middle. (CVE-2019-14823)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL jss packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
