Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the samba packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

 - The Samba Active Directory LDAP server was vulnerable to an information disclosure flaw because of missing access control checks. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to extract confidential attribute values using LDAP search expressions. Samba versions before 4.6.16, 4.7.9 and 4.8.4 are vulnerable.(CVE-2018-10919)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected samba package.
