Synopsis

The Adobe Digital Editions instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Digital Editions installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 4.5.11. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB20-07 advisory.

- Adobe Digital Editions versions 4.5.10 and below have a command injection vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution. (CVE-2020-3760)

- Adobe Digital Editions versions 4.5.10 and below have a buffer errors vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to information disclosure. (CVE-2020-3759)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Digital Editions version 4.5.11 or later.
