Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 18.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4282-1 advisory.

 It was discovered that PostgreSQL incorrectly performed authorization checks when handling the ALTER ...
 DEPENDS ON EXTENSION sub-commands. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to drop any function, procedure, materialized view, index, or trigger under certain conditions.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
