Synopsis

The remote CentOS Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2020:1175 advisory.

- The TagLib::Ogg::FLAC::File::scan function in oggflacfile.cpp in TagLib 1.11.1 allows remote attackers to cause information disclosure (heap-based buffer over-read) via a crafted audio file. (CVE-2018-11439)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected taglib, taglib-devel and / or taglib-doc packages.
