Debian DLA-2229-1 : php-horde-gollem security update

medium Nessus Plugin ID 136985

Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security update.

Description

Gollem, as used in Horde Groupware Webmail Edition and other products, had been affected by a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability via the HTTP GET dir parameter in the browser functionality, affecting breadcrumb output. An attacker could have obtained access to a victim's webmail account by making them visit a malicious URL.

For Debian 8 'Jessie', this problem has been fixed in version 3.0.3-2+deb8u1.

We recommend that you upgrade your php-horde-gollem packages.

NOTE: Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the DLA security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Upgrade the affected php-horde-gollem package.
