VMware Workstation 15.x < 15.1.0 / 15.x < 15.5.2 Multiple Vulnerabilities (VMSA-2020-0011)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 137077

Synopsis

A virtualization application installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Description

The version of VMware Workstation installed on the remote Windows host is 15.x prior to 15.1.0 or 15.x prior to 15.5.2.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities. Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to VMware Workstation version 15.1.0, 15.5.2, or later. There is a workaround available for CVE-2020-3958. See advisory VMSA 2020-0011 for more details.
