Synopsis

The Adobe Illustrator instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Illustrator installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 24.2.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB20-37 advisory.

- Adobe Illustrator versions 24.1.2 and earlier have a buffer errors vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution . (CVE-2020-9642)

- Adobe Illustrator versions 24.1.2 and earlier have a memory corruption vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution . (CVE-2020-9575, CVE-2020-9639, CVE-2020-9640, CVE-2020-9641)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Illustrator version 24.2.0 or later.
