MySQL Enterprise Monitor 4.0.x < 4.0.12.5346 / 8.0.x < 8.0.20.1237 (Jul 2020 CPU)

critical Nessus Plugin ID 138567

Synopsis

A web application running on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability

Description

According to its self-reported version, the MySQL Enterprise Monitor application running on the remote host is 4.0.x prior to 4.0.12.5346 or 8.0.x prior to 8.0.20.1237. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to bypass authentication and execute arbitrary commands.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to MySQL Enterprise Monitor version 4.0.12.5346 / 8.0.20.1237 or later as referenced in the July Oracle CPU
