The remote machine is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 6.01, has libreswan packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- An out-of-bounds buffer read flaw was found in the pluto daemon of libreswan from versions 3.27 till 3.31 where, an unauthenticated attacker could use this flaw to crash libreswan by sending specially-crafted IKEv1 Informational Exchange packets. The daemon respawns after the crash. (CVE-2020-1763)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL libreswan packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
