TYPO3 9.x < 9.5.6 Information Disclosure

medium Nessus Plugin ID 138852

Synopsis

The remote web server contains a PHP script that is affected by multiple information disclosure vulnerabilities

Description

The version of TYPO3 installed on the remote host is 9.x prior to 9.5.6. It is, therefore, affected by information disclosure vulnerabilities in its login & page tree components due to a failure to properly restrict access to sensitive information. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit these to disclose potentially sensitive information.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version

Solution

Upgrade to TYPO3 9.5.6 or later.
