Synopsis

The Adobe Prelude instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Prelude installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 9.0.1. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB20-46 advisory.

- Adobe Prelude versions 9.0 and earlier have an out-of-bounds read vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution. (CVE-2020-9677, CVE-2020-9679)

- Adobe Prelude versions 9.0 and earlier have an out-of-bounds write vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution . (CVE-2020-9678, CVE-2020-9680)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Prelude version 9.0.1 or later.
