Synopsis

The remote web server hosts a web application that is affected by a information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian Jira hosted on the remote web server is prior to 7.6.17, or 7.7.x prior to 7.13.9, or version 8.0.x prior to 8.4.2. It is, therefore, affected by a Information Disclosure vulnerability.

 - A remote attackers to view sensitive information via an Information Disclosure vulnerability in the comment restriction feature.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira version 7.6.17, 7.13.9, 8.4.2, 8.5.0 or later.
